My First Time at Saint Louis Fashion Week
My first time at Saint Louis Fashion Week was one for the books! I felt like fashion royalty and the best part of it all was the feeling of discovery. Cheers to trying new things and discovering great places to visit the next time I am in town!
Wednesday night started off with the Emerging Designers Runway Show inside of Saint Louis Union Station, which also served as my hotel for the trip. Gosh that building is so beautiful! I chatted with other bloggers before the fashion show took place as we snacked on fruit and cheese with wine. The fashion show was intimate and full of eye-catching designs. Houghton won the Emerging Designer contest. I was really blown away with the hair and makeup of each model, such beautiful and sleek looks!
The next Saint Louis Fashion Week event I attended was Wear It at The Luminary. The models were standing on pedestals in out of this world designs. I snagged a photo with one of the most gorgeous and sweet models. I love seeing art made real. Wear It reminded me of a fashion art museum with the models on display! Super cool + interesting event!
Omg I was so honored to view the Fantich & Young Apex Predator Collection prior to their launch event. They are the most down to Earth and easy going artists couple that I have ever met. I snagged a few fashion pictures with the awesome duo. I love to see people doing what they love because good vibes are contagious.
Imagine a creative space filled with art, paintings, clothing, and just about everything in between. Skif has all of that and more. On Saturday of Saint Louis Fashion Week we attended a Designer Pop-Up Shop at Skif. I spoke with a local artist who took her current line from conception to production to market in 3 weeks. Did I mention that she does everything by hand? My mind was simply blow when she was explaining her process. That's talent! I snagged a skirt from Skif that I will be styling here soon. Skif gave me the inspiration to take my home decor more seriously. Visuals are important.
Overall, I had an amazing time at Saint Louis Fashion Week. The love for fashion, art, and human expression that I encountered was really special to me. Thank you for having me Saint Louis Fashion Week. Until next time!
