Always Remember, "God Got Me"
God got me. Profound, right? I mean think about it more deeply, the God who created the entire universe has you on His mind. That is a big deal. God who formed the stars, moons, ocean and everything else wants what’s best for you and I. Wow.
The moment I saw this Eyedentitee Theft tee, I knew that I had to have it. It resonated with me and seemed to resonate well with you all too. Left and right, people were asking where I bought the shirt from. Three words with a larger than life meaning, “God got me.”
Realizing God Got Me
I’m a regular church goer, have been since I could remember. I mean even when I was living for everybody for Jesus at college I never stopped going to church. But none of my church attendance or service could teach me just how much God loves me. It was in the loneliness and depression periods of life that I found Christ’s love for me to be the biggest.
It’s easy to believe in yourself when things are going well, but what about the seasons when you feel alone? How do you push past your anxiety and fear without knowing that God is in heaven looking out for you?
I know that not everyone believes in Jesus or God at all, but I question how those people make it through the trials of life unburned. If it were not for the grace of God and His protection, I know I would be far from what I am today and I’m not even close to perfect. The older I get and more life I experience, it’s clear that God doesn’t change His mind about His love for us even when we reject it.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 KJV
I do not have all the answers but I hope you are encouraged to keep it moving. Life is going to throw hell and high water at you, but that doesn’t mean give up on yourself or God. When you become lazy it’s disrespectful to those who believe in you. We all have problems, but that doesn't make the world stop moving. Get up and make something happen and remember that the God of the universe has you in the palm of His hands.
