When the Class of 2015 graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I listened as close friends, sorority sisters and random strangers buzzed about the excitement surrounding graduation. The more that I heard stories of responsibilities and entering the “real world,” the more I realized that time had really flown. The somewhat carefree days were becoming a blur of memories as my class and I moved up the ranks to senior status.

This revelation opened up my eyes to simpler times and that is how I came up with the idea of the “reverse bucket list,” a compiled list of the most beloved kid pastimes to indulge in as an adult! Grab your friends or venture out on your own to relive a blast from your past!

1. Chalk the sidewalk – It doesn’t take much to be creative and let your inner artist out on the pavement! Stick figures are welcome!
2. Hopscotch: It doesn’t take much to channel that chalk drawing into a hopscotch lane. Grab a rock and put those skills to the test!
3. Water balloon/Snowball fight: Summer or winter, this is one of the past times that will spark a friendly battle! Bundle up or stay cool with this fun outdoor activity.
4. Eat ALL holiday candy in one night: Go ahead and treat yourself to a candy bar or two!
5. Jump in a leaf pile: Perfect relaxation break right?
6. Play tag: It only takes a group of friends and a good pair of running shoes!
7. Watch Saturday Cartoons: Roll out of bed, grab the biggest bowl for cereal and plop down in front of the television for some pure entertainment.
8. Play on the playground: Run up the slide and swing on the set like no one is watching!
9. Chase the ice cream truck: It was hard to resist that jingle as a child, so don’t miss out now!
10. Ride your bike: This was the “car” before the license came along to accompany the real thing! Ride all day until the streetlights come on, of course!
