How to Find the Perfect Wedding Invitations

I recently partnered with BasicInvite.com to find the perfect wedding invitations. Although this post is sponsored by Basic Invite, all thoughts are my own.

Wedding invitations are important because they are one of the first things that your wedding guests will see. You want to make a good impression, so choosing the perfect invitations is key.

Oh yeah, we got engaged in LA in September! You can read all about our engagement here. I'm still amazed that I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend.

Perks of Ordering Samples

Now back to the wedding invitations... it's all about the details. I'm not sure what style invitations I want exactly, so I opted for samples that caught my eye. I love that Basic Invite has the option to order samples of your invitations before buying in bulk and they offer almost unlimited colors. Not to mention that they have over 40 different colors of envelopes, wedding coasters and 900 wedding invitation sets. The sets include save the dates, wedding invitations, wedding menus, wedding programs and thank you cards.

Find Inspiration

Look for inspiration before you purchase anything. I suggest heading over to Pinterest to find the perfect style of wedding invitations. I created a wedding board to keep things organized and fun. You can check it out here. Bridal shows and bridal boutiques are also great places to find inspiration and vendors.

My Top Picks

I opted for samples that had an elegant yet light feel. We have chosen our hashtag for the big day and each other. I won't get into ordering formal save the dates and invitations until we secure our venue, so this wedding invitations test run was the perfect way to get into the wedding planning spirit without breaking the bank. I love all the samples wedding invitations that I ordered from Basic Invite, so my fiancé must help me make the final decision.

Before the Big Day

I encourage every bride to order sample wedding invitations online before ordering finals for the big day. You may like a wedding invitation online then fall out of love with it in-person. Don’t be afraid to enlist help.

Which design is your favorite? Tell me in the comment section below.

PS. I’m looking for brands to work with through my engagement and wedding process. Do you have any suggestions?
