Queen Tee + Strappy Heels + Choker + Fro
Summer is coming to a close and honestly, I'm good with that. Fall is my favorite season because it reminds me to shed all types of baggage AKA let the dead things go. Life get heavy at times which is why it's so important to take the time out to live. I'm writing this post from the bed in New York City. This week I embarked on my first trip to the Big Apple. To say that it has been ah-mazing would be an understatement. I've felt just about every emotion imaginable.

I couldn't have taken this trip at a more perfect time. I'm in a place of self-discovery and analysis. We are often told to do what we love and be with who we love, but what do you do when you can't find a way? You make one. You pick yourself up and make one. This queen tee and my big fro are reminders that I have strength. I can overcome anything life throws my way if I look within. God has given me the power and confidence to overcome battles, but I have to use my weapons. Life is always changing, yet staying the same.
Where were you at the beginning of 2016? Have you accomplished any of your goals?
Now is the time to finish strong. Throw on your strappy heels and make something of yourself, girl. Forget what happen, forget who left you and embrace the changes you've been through. I can't think of a single reason a person should stay in a place stagnant. Fear isn't an excuse. I was scared as hell to come to NYC and ride the train alone, but I did it with fear. Life only starts moving when we use our feet to attack our feels. Nothing is going to be perfect, but quitting is never an option. Be bold and find your purpose.

What's your excuse for not being who you were created to be in spaces that you're afraid of? Unlock your potential by applying for that job, wearing those shoes, dyeing your hair or jumping into the ocean. Whatever it is that scares the crap out of you, do it.
