The Glitter Plan
I snagged
The Glitter Plan How We Started Juicy Couture for $200 and Turned it into a Global Brand by Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor with Booth Moore in hopes of getting inspiration and career advice like I'd gotten from #GIRLBOSS and boy was I wrong. The Glitter Plan was more of a narrative than a guide to entrepreneurship. The story talks more about how the pair, Pamela and Gela, met and learned their business. If you are die hard fans of theirs or simple interested in the early stages of Juicy Couture then I would say grab this book for sure.
There were a ton of great things about this book as well. I did like the fact that the authors were transparent about the humble beginnings of their company. Their story is inspiring in that way. To grow a global business from $200 with two individuals is a huge accomplishment for anyone. However, I didn't finish reading The Glitter Plan, so I don't know how the story ends. I would like to think that it gets better and more informative as the pages turn, but I can't tell you for sure. Once I finish it I will let you guys know.
I love romance, history, and positivity books. Do you have any reading suggestions? What was the last book that you read? Leave your comments and suggestions below!
