Here is a list of Must-Have Summer Lipsticks and some tips to help you style each color. I would consider myself a fashion blogging lipstick lover, yet I always caught myself playing it safe with lip colors until recently.

Plum

Nothing says fierce like a nice plum lip + smoky eye on a summer night. Plum is usually confined to fall months, but this year we have seen a rise in plum + burgundy for the summer months. Are you in love with plum? Try some inexpensive plum lipsticks out to see if you dig the way they look on your skin.

Red

Red is a classic color for a reason ladies. Match your red lip hue to compliment your skin tone. Red lipstick makes your teeth look brighter and freshens up the eyes. I love to use bold lipstick as an accent for monochromatic outfits. Need a reference? Look here.

Hot Pink

Hot pink is a definite show stopper! It looks great with black tops, greens, and blues. I like to stay away from red when rocking hot pink lipstick. Also, go subtle with your eye shadow if you are going bold with your lip color. Less is more, ladies!

Nude

Everyone is going crazy over nude nails on instagram, but I'm obsessed with nude lipstick. Nude is the perfect shade to wear with a dramatic eye or wild hair color. Nude is a fun way to get the attention off of your lips and onto your eyes. Please, please, please wear lipliner with nude lipstick.

Peach

Peach is my new found favorite lip color. I bought a peach lipstick from my local beauty supply store and can't get enough of it. Peach has a way of making you look youthful + fun because girls just wanna have fun, right?
