Father's Day 2017 Starts With a Good Card

Father's Day 2017 starts with a good card. And nothing helps show how I feel about my dad the way a heartfelt Hallmark card does. It's not every day that we get to celebrate the special men in our lives, so Father's Day is BIG. I'm always eager to celebrate my father and the other important father-figures who have shaped me, spoiled me, prayed for me and so much more. 

There's nothing more special than a daddy-daughter relationship even if your relationship is not biological. Today I'm going to share what my dad means to me and how I'm giving him major props this Father's Day!

Reasons Why I Love My Dad

My dad was the first man that I ever loved. I still remember Saturday mornings watching him wash and wax his car for hours upon hours. Not to mention how he could never tell me no. And one of my favorite memories is my siblings and I pranking my dad, then watching him slide down a flight of stairs landing on plastic spikes. No worries, he survived. LOL One of the best parts of my teenage years was dancing with my dad for the Alpha Kappa Alpha Debutante Ball. 

These memories are ones that I will always cherish. But nothing beats seeing my dad in the stands at my orchestra concerts, high school graduation and college graduation. I think our daily phone calls, while I was away at college made me stronger, too. My mom and dad worked hard to give my siblings and I everything that we wanted and still do to this day. I wouldn't be half the woman I am today without both of my parents.

With all of this in mind I headed to Walgreens to find the perfect card. Walgreens has a huge selection of Hallmark Signature and new virtual reality cards to help make all dad's feel like a million bucks on Father's Day 2017. These cards are really cool and are an affordable way to send your dad on a little adventure!  They have a pop-up VR viewer to give Dad a 360° immersive experience! You can learn more about these new Hallmark virtual reality cards here. Although the VR cards are legit, I decided to go with a more traditional option this year when selecting the perfect Hallmark card for my dad.

What I Wrote in His Card

I thought you'd never ask. LOL here's what I wrote to my dad:

You will always be the greatest dad to me because you've always just been that to me. You were my hero before I knew that I needed one. And even when I began to see your flaws you never stopped being invincible to me. Thank you for always making me laugh and reminding me that I can do anything that I put my mind to. Cheers to giving you more credit! Love you always Jazz Bo!

Why I Chose This Card

I chose this Hallmark card because I feel like my dad always let me sail my own way even when he didn't get it. My dad always gives my siblings and I the freedom to make our own mistakes. I know no matter what he'll always love me the same.
