Go At Your Own Pace

Do you ever start to scroll on Instagram then start to feel like you aren’t doing enough? I have been there and honestly the feeling of inadequacy sucks, but the key to happiness is to go at your own pace. Paul says in Philippians 4:11 NLT, “Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with what I have.”

Scriptures make going at your pace aka being content to seem so easy but that isn’t always the case. Sometimes we want to throw in the towel on ourselves, on our dreams, on our families, on our lives. But we have to keep pressing toward the mark. You cannot settle for safe when God is within you. You possess greatness, undoubtedly.

Maybe you need a written strategy for your goal or a journal to log your self-love journey or a hug to make you feel “seen.” Consider this post a sign for you to keep going at your own pace.

I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all. Ecclesiastes 9:11 NIV

You can start over today. Sometimes a fresh start is exactly what you need so don’t be afraid to dust yourself off and try again. I was afraid to close down my t-shirt business and I was afraid to switch churches and I was afraid to quit my last job, but the next steps after overcoming the fear were and still are glorious. Take the leap and trust God to see you through.
