I Sat Front Row at New York Fashion Week
Pinch me... I sat front row at my first New York Fashion Week Show last week. The KLS Spring/ Summer 2017 Collection was stunning from start to finish. I have a couple of favorite pieces from the collection that I will get into later. More than anything, I was overjoyed to see diverse models. Yes... KLS served #blackgirlmagic down the runway.
From start to finish the KLS Spring/ Summer 2017 Collection New York Fashion Week experience was perfect. I started the show with a few delicious macaroons and a mimosa, followed by a lot of picture taking and observing. I even ended the afternoon with a few pictures with Kimora Lee Simmons and J. Alexander. Talk about the perfect Wednesday morning!

Takeaways
Don't you just love it? The one thing that stuck out to me was how simple and feminine each piece in the KLS Spring/ Summer 2017 Collection was. Nothing was too dramatic or low-cut that I couldn't wear it out with friends or to a dinner date. Kimora is from Missouri like myself and she paid homage to The Show Me State with the "field" background details. This collection nailed the contrast between Midwestern style and high-fashion. That's what sets KLS a part from the competition... the brand's ability to relate to small town girls with big city dreams and city girls with party-girl goals. I loved every minute of it and look forward to rocking a piece from the KLS Collection in the future.
Thank you for having me! I look forward to attending next season's shows. From one Missouri girl to another, you've inspired me greatly Kimora. Don't forget to follow me on instagram @thejasminediane! Peace.
