"She grinds from Monday to Friday then from Friday to Sunday." When you work full-time, blog 24/7 and are active in ministry you can't afford a sick day. I jump out of the bed and straight into the books or online everyday. My calendar is always booked with work, church, content writing, photo shoots, fashion shows and family time.

I turned 24 last month and can still remember the craziness of my 21st birthday in college. College days are a thing of the past that I still yearn from at times, but I've come to realize that I can't go back. Working 40+ hours per week forever is quite depressing unless you love what you do. I'm still learning what I love and deciding what I want for myself professionally, mentally and emotionally.

This year has been amazing, from being featured in Marie Claire Magazine to working with big brands like Starbucks to landing my first full-time job at an ad agency to becoming active in ministry at my church. 2016 has also been super scary... I started the year without a job and no money in my savings account and lot's of fear about what my future held.

Flying into New York City at night was the best decision I've made in a long time. The city looked so magical, so many lights. I left Kansas City determined to come back with clarity about my future and less fear. They say if you can make it in New York City you can make it anywhere, so this was my test.
